Clay Sun Union. CSU started out jamming together in Okinawa, Japan

back in the 1990s. The original members were Mike Belley, Jon Schleismann, Jage

Nichols, Jeromy Swafford, and Mike Wadkins, all of whom were in the United States Air

Force. Influenced by bands such as Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Metallica, Todd the Wet

Sprocket, Pink Floyd, and Rush, they brought a rich and diverse rock sound to the

grateful ears of people all across the island. They eventually made a CD titled

‘Distance’ in 2002. Plagued by personal conflicts, the band unfortunately broke up

within the month of its release. The band may have disbanded, but their music

shall forever live on in our hearts and minds, as well as on this website. Enjoy!
